A tale of two kitties

I though I would do a post introducing my two cats properly, as anyone reading this who didn't read my old blog won't know much about them other than the recent dramas!!!

First up ... meet Lucy.

She'll be 16 in September and she's a Maine Coon cross. We brought her home from the cat sanctuary when she was 6 weeks old, and she was this ball of fluff with massive eyes! She was terrified of everyone and hid for a while, but then she got used to us and grew to love us and she's quite the character! She's a proper lady, she washes her hands and face after every meal, she loves to sleep on my bed or on one of the conservatory chairs and she doesn't like to mingle with Mary! Sometimes I think she forgets she's a cat! (And a scaredy cat at that!) She is very loyal with her family but is wary of strangers and she's not a fan of change, loud noises, cold or the hoover!

Secondly we have Mary ....

She'll be 15 in December and she's a tortoiseshell moggy. Unlike Lucy we found Mary on the streets and took her in. We rang the RSPCA and reported her, but they came back to us and said she hadn't been reported missing so could either take her to a shelter or keep her. My Mam thought it would be quirky to call her Mary since we found her near a church, but in hindsight it probably would have been better to call her something cute haha! Mary just loves to explore and can't resist climbing into boxes / bags / the sink! She is the complete opposite from Lucy, she's always out exploring and hunting and she regularly comes home covered in leaves and mud. She loves her food and nearly always comes over if one of us is eating in hope of some treats! There isn't much Mary is bothered by, and unlike Lucy, she's not too fussy about who she makes friends with!

They're both SUCH cuties and they're great for snuggling!! They never fail to make us laugh or say "aww". I think they are the best cats ever! (Even though they don't really get along lol!)

xx
