Heartbreaking news ...

I got home from work today and no-one was around. Lucy (my eldest cat) hasn't been feeling to well the last few weeks so assumed my Mam had taken her to the Vets after work. Around quarter past 6 she came in, in floods of tears, and I checked the carrier straight away to see if Lucy was inside. She seemed fine so I was a bit confused. My Mam pulled herself together a bit and told me that Lucy has lost a considerable amount of weight and she thinks the problem may lie with an organ malfunction or, more likely, she has cancerous tumors in her lungs ='(

I've cried all night. She was 6 weeks old when we brought her home and will be 16 in September =( She's a HUGE part of our family, and it more like another human than a cat!! She's back in on Thursday morning to have blood tests done and maybe an Xray to see whats going on. That's worrying because she's an elderly lady and may not make it through the anaesthetic. But it's worth the risk if it means finding out what's wrong with her and hopefully finding a cure. She's sleeping in my room tonight so I can keep an eye on her.

(This was the day she came in SOAKED and I had to dry her with a towel!)

xx
